Spring is a perfect time to explore, recommit or begin a yoga practice. This back to basics series with Lucy Liaw is designed for all levels including beginners and focuses on vinyasa flow, the most common style offered in local studios. Energizing sequences will link breath and movement and are created to cultivate freedom in the body and presence of mind. Lucy will offer a different theme centered around the same basics each week, for example heart space, hips, core strength or another central focus with vinyasa flow as the core of the practice.
Covid19 vaccination proof is required
This series can be attended every week on a sliding scale for 5 classes, or you can sign up in advance one week at a time.
Saturday April 9th to May 7th
Lucy is an advocate for wellness and personal empowerment, and brings this focus to her yoga practice and teaching. She received her 200h yoga teaching certification in 2021 through Maine YogaFest School of Yoga, studying vinyasa flow and yin yoga styles with Robin Ivy Payton and Andrea Gleason. Lucy has a background in biomedical sciences, and received her doctorate in cell and molecular biology of health and disease. She has experience studying the physical and spiritual way of the Japanese traditional martial arts, and combines this understanding with practice as a yogi since 2014.
Lucy studies yoga as a sustainable, rigorous, and balancing path towards self-awareness. She is a lifelong learner, and seeks to discover and guide the integration of physical, mental, and emotional strengths within herself and her students. She welcomes diversity of experiences and perspectives as a way to build a stronger community.
