This offering is a blend of yoga and pilates movements to build strength and flexibility - both in the mind and body. Alex is known for a slower and more intentional style, but don't be deceived, this practice will incorporate some challenging rep-based pilates mat movements that will get your heartrate up in a different way than a cardio-based flow might. By taking our time with mindful movements, we will breathe and flow to build stability in all muscle groups. You can expect class to begin with an extended centering meditation before diving into a warmup yoga flow to get the muscles ready for more effort. The middle of class will involve pilates-inspired movements, sometimes with the use of props (all available in-studio), followed by stretches to ease us into a long savasana. With the best of both worlds - effort and ease - you will leave this class feeling ready for anything!
